GUIDELINES FOR COLLEGE HOSTEL
The general administration of the Hostel is in the hands of Trust Board assisted by the Hostel Sub-Committee of which the Principal and the Additional warden are Ex-officio members. The actual day-to-day administration is under the direct control of the additional warden. The opening and closing of the Hostel will be fixed by the Warden. The Hostel Rules shall apply to all the residents of the Hostel and the Wardens interpretation of the rules shall be final.
Admissions :
Application for admission shall be made in the prescribed form, which can be had at the Hostel Office. The Hostel Office will remain open from 10 am to 5 pm except on Sundays and holidays. Admission shall be made on the merits of each case and re-admission shall not be claimed as a matter of right. A student who is detained in any class will not be re-admitted into the Hostel.
Allotment of Rooms :
Allotment of Rooms to boarders will be made by the warden. No transfer of room is permitted but boarders are liable to be transferred from the rooms originally allotted to them if in the interest of discipline such transfers are deemed by the warden. Each room is provided with necessary furniture duly numbered and an electric bulb. The occupants of the rooms are responsible for the safe return of the furniture and electric bulb in good condition at the time of their leaving the Hostel. If the bulb gets fused or is otherwise damaged and if the furniture is damaged the occupants must make good the loss or damage. Electric connections other than those already provided are not allowed without the previous approval of the warden and when extra connection are allowed by the Warden additional charges will have to be paid. The requisite form of application can be obtained from the Hostel office. The use of Radio and Transistor set is strictly prohibited.
Payment of Hostel Dues :
Bill for each month will be published about the 10th of the following month and every boarder shall pay his dues within 10 days from the date of publish.
