Admission Procedure

        The college maintains a prestigious track record of not accepting any capitation fee whatsoever for any course in spite of the considerable goodwill the college enjoys in this region.

UG Courses

        The students are admitted to various UG courses purely on the basis of merit in the qualifying examinations strictly adhering to the Government norms. The college enrolls more number of students from underprivileged community than the quota fixed by the government.

            Being a Linguistic Minority Institution, the College enrolls 50% Telugu speaking students from rural area as per the Government reservation. The candidates are informed of their provisional selection through post.

PG Courses

            The similar process is also followed for the selection of students to the PG courses. Provisional admission is given on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates up to fifth semester. The admissions for the PG courses are finalized on receipt of the sixth semester results.

Admission to the courses approved by AICTE (M.C.A.) is made as per the AICTE and State Government norms. Fifty percent of the seats in these courses are filled on the basis of TANCET score. Remaining 50% is filled on the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Private Self-Financing Colleges Association.

M. Phil. Courses

            Admission to M. Phil. programmes is made on the basis of marks scored in the Masters’ degree as well as their performance in the entrance test.

Ph. D. Programmes

            Selection of candidates for Ph.D. programmes is made on the basis of merit under the guidelines of affiliating University and UGC. All the departments conduct entrance test and viva-voce for selecting candidates for Ph.D. programmes.

            Selected candidates are admitted to the Ph.D. programme as per the norms stipulated by Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai and UGC. The selected students are given unique registration numbers and identity cards to confirm their enrolment.
